A Warm Welcome! Let's Ignite the "Tide": The 2026 International Youth Short Film Festival Dear New Generation Filmmakers, Educational Partners, and Friends who Care about Youth Arts Development: Xinmin Senior High School warmly welcomes you to our grand event—the "2026 International Youth Short Film Festival"! Since the successful hosting of Flickering Light and Fleeting Shadows (《浮光掠影》) and The Crossroads Under the Streetlights (《街燈下的十字路口》) in 2023, we have witnessed the astonishing energy burst forth from our students' video creations. Now, to celebrate the significant milestone of Xinmin Senior High School's 90th Anniversary, we are elevating this passion to an international stage. This festival is positioned as an international film exchange platform dedicated to young people aged 10 to 19 globally. We believe that your lens not only records the world but also carries unique perspectives and boundless creativity. With "The Tide" as our annual theme, we invite you to use the power of moving images to showcase the courage of the new generation, explore the directions of the future, and together, spark a dazzling flame of art. Whether you are a rising star from Taiwan or a filmmaking partner from anywhere in the world, we look forward to your work becoming a part of this international "Tide." This is not just a competition; it is a precious opportunity to exchange, learn, and grow together with creators of the same age worldwide. Let us weave the most touching stories of this generation with light and shadow. The 2026 International Youth Short Film Festival looks forward to your enthusiastic participation!
新民青少年國際短片影展 SMYISFF Since 2023, the Performing Arts Department of Xinmin Senior High School has successfully held two consecutive short film festivals, "Glimpses" and "Crossroads Under Streetlights," centered around student project work. These festivals have received widespread acclaim both within and outside the school. To celebrate the significant milestone of Xinmin Senior High School's 90th anniversary in 2026, we plan to fully upgrade this festival and expand it into the "2026 Youth International Short Film Festival." This festival will not only serve as a key event to celebrate the school anniversary, but also elevate it to a level of international exchange, inviting young people from around the world to participate and create a platform for visual creation and exchange specifically for the younger generation. We believe that through the power of images, we can inspire the creativity and potential of more young people and promote cross-cultural dialogue and understanding.
